Lent is a time of preparation for Easter through the spiritual
disciplines of almsgiving, fasting, prayer, and repentance. It is a time
to let go of the things that hinder us from freedom in Christ, a time
to sink our roots deeper into God’s grace. Developing the spiritual
discipline of listening and healing prayer is a wonderful way to enrich
the Lenten season, deepen our relationship with God, and address our
emotional and spiritual wounds.
Join us for a 1.5-day in-town by Rusty Rustenbach, director of pastoral care with The Navigators
and author of "A Guide for Listening and Inner-Healing Prayer." During
this time we will study the Biblical basis for this form of prayer,
learn the processes of listening and healing prayer, and have time for
both personal contemplation and praying for healing in others.

ReplyDeleteI really like the people I've met so far in Berkeley. Today it was over 75 and I'm adjusting well. Tomorrow we meet at Christ Church from 9 am until 5 pm ... will teach and provide opportunity for people to experience listening to God in the morning and inner healing in the afternoon. Looks like between 30 & 40 people plan on attending. Please pray for my energy level and for God to speak through me and that HE would deeply minister to each person ... and do all the HE has in HIS heart & mind. "Nothing is impossible for God!"
