THE WELLSPRING of LIFE

- Proverbs 4:23 -

The Bible teaches us that God is everywhere. “Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there!” (Psalm 139:7-8 ESV). God is present to you and He yearns to communicate His thoughts to you!

“So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17:27-28 NKJV). He is not far away ... He is very near!

For the believer in Jesus Christ, the heart is the very wellspring of life … it is the place where Jesus resides. The heart is where we hear the still, small communication of God as our perfect Father, as the Son who gave His life for us, and as the Holy Spirit who gently speaks to us at the precise moment that we're ready to hear His message.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; what are You seeking to communicate with me about my heart, about Your thoughts toward me, about my relationship with You or about my relationships with others? Use a blank sheet paper to jot down the things that come into your heart and mind through the gentle urgings of His Spirit as you wait on Him. You need not feel any pressure … this in not about you coming up with something. It's all about Him!
